Decathlon harness question

We just got two Decathlons for our 6 month old and are having trouble with tightening the straps on both of them. We are 99% sure they are installed correctly, but when we try to tighten the straps after putting Mason in, it is SO hard to pull the strap that even my husband's (who was an offensive tackle) arm starts to shake a little. What are we doing wrong? Thanks!

You aren't doing anything wrong, they just take a month of use or so to 'break in' before they get nice and smooth (according to many moms who own them, anyway :) ). Keep your receipts "just in case" they keep on being hellish to pull so you can return them on the last day if you need to. And it couldn't hurt to call Britax so they get the hint that this is a massively annoying issue for new parents forking out megabucks for their product.
