I live in a duplex and the family in the appt above us have 4 children. The oldest is ~9 and the youngest is ~2. They also have a 4 year old and a 6 year old. The youngest was in a ohs seat in the fathers car and a evenflo combo seat in the mothers car. The two middle children were in backless bpb in the mothers car and i do not think they were in any seat in the fathers car. I noticed a few days ago that the evenflo booster was no longer in the mothers car. I wondered why but i did not see the mother getting the children into the car and i did not know if she was using a different seat for the youngest. Today i saw the mother putting the children into the car. The 2 year old in a backless bpb! I do not think the middle children were in any seats at all and the oldest was in the front. This is a much older car with no airbags in the front seat so that is "ok" but it is not like the car has sip that will help the middle children from something in a accident. This family also has gone out for the day in the fathers car, the whole family in the car. Now the father has a toyota camery which is only a 5 seater so i know that some of the children or all of them were not buckled in properly!

What would you do? We have a friendly relationship with this family but i do not know how they would feel if i told them about the children's seats.

Thanks for any advice and for listening to my vent! I was telling my mom and she did not really understand why i am so mad.

Oh bummer! I don't have any advice, but didn't want you to feel no one was listening, and you KNOW I'm here, lol.

I never know how to broach this type of subject...maybe an anonymous flyer printed up from www.carseat.org would be a gentle hint if stuck in their windshield? I'm sure they have something appropriate...

I have no idea what you posted, to be honest. I guess I don't know all the car seat abbreviations.

I would do what Julie suggested, try leaving an anonymous note.

I've done it before in mall parking lots (infant bucket seat installed FF), as I don't like confrontation.
