I need to buy a convertible car seat for DD(4 months, 14lbs, 24inches) and plan on getting a Britax. But I need help deciding which one to get. I'm debating among Marathan, Decathlon or Boulevard. Marathon has the best looking covers, but Decathlon and Boulevard are newer with more "features". I was wondering what your experience is and if you recommend one over another.

Many Thanks!!

We have the Marathon which we have been very happy with. My friend got the one with the side head things (Decathalon?) and wishes that she hadn't-- said that DD tries to look around the head things and can't and gets frustrated. I'm not even sure that the Decathalon is any safer...you might check out past threads on this.

The Boulevard has the wings. The previous version was the Wizard which had really narrow wings, but there have been few complaints about the BV being too narrow.

Thanks!! At first I thought I want the wings, but I can totally see DD getting frustrated with not being able to see around her. She's a nosy little thing. :) Now I'm leaning towards the Decathlon. Thanks for all the info.

We have a Wizard and DS doesn't mind the wings. He can see around them just fine, it seems. You could try her out in one.

Hi Maggie! We just bought 2 new convertible seats for DS, a Marathon and a Cosco Scenera. (http://www.windsorpeak.com/dc/dcboard.php?az=show_topic&forum=13&topic_id=37457&mode=full&page=8)

I really thought we'd be getting a Decathalon, but after trying it in the store, both of us found it difficult to tighten the straps. In the end it was price that helped push us towards the Marathon (especially since we found one in a discontinued pattern, so it was cheaper). Some of the patterns are great...I can't tell you how badly DH wants a Cowmooflage seat cover. :)
