Yesterday I went ahead and bought a Safeseat for the new baby while TRU has coupons. I fugured we could use it as a backup for Tyler for now. I like it but I am not in love. I an really happy with the higher weight and height limits. Jackson outgrew the snugride at 4 1/2 months and Tyler at 4. It will be nice to at least have the new baby in an infant carrier until he/she can sit up. I sat Tyler in it last night. He is 24 lbs. and it was HEAVY! I can't imagine having a 30lb. baby in there.
I like the built in lockoff but wish they could upgrade the latch anchors. I actually think I am going to get a better install with a seatbelt because I find their latch system to be hard to adjust. We'll see. I think it is harder to take out of the base. It is hard to get a good grip on the release. So far every time I have tried it I end up pulling the cover off the top part of the seat and fighting with it. I also don't think the cover is on as well as the snugride. Several times while playing with it the cover was pulling off on one end or the other.
Overall I am happy with it. I had really wanted the Chico Key Fit but decided to go with one that we could use a little longer. Graco has come a long way with improving things but they can still do more.
