What's your favorite carseat in the $50-$75 range for a second car? I'd like to order from Target.com if possible and looking for your input. TIA

Not a tech (though toying with the idea...), but the Cosco Scenera makes a great backup seat. It is easy to install, straps don't twist, you can reach the harness adjuster rear-facing and it has a high back so they don't outgrow it too soon. Now technically it doesn't fit your request because it is only $40 in store ($49.99 at Target.com), but is actually a much better seat than the more expensive ones.

Ditto on the 5-point Scenera convertible, it RF to 35 lbs and FF to 40 lbs. and it travels well, too.

Make that three votes for the Scenera. ;) Its pretty basic, but very tall (unlike some of its competitors) and very easy to use.

The Scenera 5 point is also available at Walmart and Kmart. They are all different colors. Walmart's is black/tan, Kmart's is brown, and Target's is Navy/light blue. BRU is supposed to be getting a deluxe version which is more padded. Not sure if they have it yet...

Thank you ladies. I was looking at that one and wasn't sure. I will definitely have to look at getting that one.

We purchased the Graco Comfortsport, and we love it as a second carseat. It's light, padded (though not as much as the Britax), has a cup holder and very easy to clean and install. We use it for all our air travels and DS doesn't notice any difference between his expensive Britax and the simplier Graco.

Wanted to add- looks like the new Scenera version you were talking about is in the BRU baby sale circular. However, when I went to the store, they didn't actually have one. The biggest complaint I've read about the Scenera is the lack of padding (the complaints being from the parents, rarely from the child! hehe), so a more padded version would be great!

could you post a photo of that pic so we could see it? I'm just curious to see what padding was added.

I also recommend the Scenera, by the way.

Cosco still only has the touriva on their website, so they are of no help on this.

I'm wondering if it was just a headrest, or is there an infant support, what can we tell visually?
