I have read different things on different sites?
Anyone know for sure if it does or doesn't?

Yes, it does have a rear-facing tether. It's in one very hard-to-read place in the instruction manual.

I never got a chance to call Britax... still going to... but does it come with a d-ring... is there specific instructions for using it rearfacing?

okay... I'm obsessed with carseats... I'll admit it.

Because I didn't see that it came with the d-ring.

I was in Baby Depot today and couldn't see anything for sure (I was there for other stuff and decided to check)... I ran into the salesguy who was there when I took photos before and when I asked him about it, on the off chance, he actually asked me if I could find out for sure, as he'd been asked and didn't know.

I don't know--I still haven't seen it IRL. I don't have any plans on Monday, so I'll try to remember to call.

I'll do the same.

I've been meaning to... as if it were able to be tethered, that'd put it above the Scenera for me.

Did anyone find this out for sure. Under the section on using the tether it mentions that the seat should be at a 45 degree angle when rear-facing. But the instructions only show a picture forward-facing.

I have a Safe Voyage seat and mine did NOT come with a d-ring so I don't think it's meant to be tethered rear-facing. If it was, wouldn't it HAVE to come with a d-ring? My owner's manual is in my boyfriend's car so I can't check it.

You're right, we've verified it...NO rearfacing tether on this one (that's ok, any rearfacing seat is super duper safe!)

I can't wait to hear if you like it or not!

That's what I thought but it's confusing because they talk about rear-facing in the section on using the tether. They really need to fix that in the user's manual. I'm going to install the seat in a little bit and I'll post a review when I get a chance. Using it in the store, the harness was soooo much nicer than our other seats. I was amazed at how easy it was to adjust. We'll see how easy it is once it is rear-facing and installed in the car. I'll also let you know how difficult it is to install.
