Seat and base expirations

Hi,
I know that carseats have a lifespan of 6 years...I have a Graco Snugride from 2002. My question is: do the bases have the same lifespan?

Yup, same 6 years. The new bases are a lot nicer, and are compatible with newer seats, so if you have any installation difficulties with your old base, consider buying a newer one.
