Hey all,

LB is moving into our second MA this week (RF, of course) as he's now over the limit for his infant carseat. We don't have enough cash to fork out for a third MA for DH's car for BB (DH takes BB to school most mornings), so I was wondering what you would recommend as a third, little used carseat for DH's car? Here's the stats:

BB: 25 lbs, 37-38" tall, 2.5 yrs (he's a little dude)
Car: Honda Element
Usage: Most mornings (at least 4 out of 5 every week), going 5 miles
Current carseat: Britax MA

I've seen mention of the Cosco Scenera as an inexpensive alternative, but wanted any other practical advice you can give!

TIA,

Is BB forward or rear-facing? If RF, the Scenera is the only one worth looking at, IMO. All the others won't last long enough to be worth it. If FF, then the Graco Cargo is a good combo seat with tall top slots - just be sure to get a front adjuster. It is around $99, but Target has sale every few months for around $80. There is also an Evenflo one that I can never remember the name of that is similar (Generations?). Since he is little, these should last until booster age, but if not, you have another one to hand it down to.

See if you can find a Cosco Apex, that will work.
