Hi,

We are travelling with our 5 month old son cross country. We have bought him his own seat but he does not have a convertible car seat yet. He is still using the infant car seat. Can we take that one to the plane (Delta)? Does anyone have any suggestion for a simple car seat for plane rides only since we are going to travel overseas pretty soon?

Thanks a lot

Suna

Yes, you can take your seat on the plane. You don't need the base. You may want to practice installing the car seat with the seat belt before you leave if you're used to using the base. And don't forget to pack your manual. Travelling with an infant seat is much easier than a convertible seat in my opinion. Good luck :) .

Absolutely! As Angie pointed out, you can install without the base, so practice it before you leave and then you don't have to lug that heavy base with you. :)
