Just got my Graco SafeSeat. In reading all the info, it has a very specific warning: using the safe seat with any stroller system other than Graco can result in SERIOUS INJURY OR DEATH.

Having just gotten the Sit n' Stand with the intention of using the SS in it, I was a little taken aback by this.

I know last time around I used my Evenflo infant seat with the Universal carrier without problem, and the SS seems to fit the Sit n'Stand just fine.

So, just wondering what you guys think: is Graco issuing a serious warning, worried about lawsuits, or just trying to make us buy their strollers????

I was at USA Baby the other day and the Graco Reps. were there. I was asking them about using the safeseat with a Snap N Go. The rep. said that they had a lot of complaints about the graco carseats either damaging the Snap N Go or the Snap N go damaging the carseat. He pulled out the graco version of the Snap N Go and showed me how the carseats are specifically made to fit it. It snaps in the stroller and has lock offs that are now standard on all of their strollers. It could be a marketing ploy but the seat did fit nice in their stroller.

well, I think it's just covering their butts.

I would stick to strollers that say they are universal, though... so no rigging it in a cheap umbrella stroller (I've seen people do this with infant seats)

I know it fits the joovy caboose (a poster on the bbc board tried it and posted pics)... and the sit n' stand is the same stroller.

it should fit.

the Snugrider is, IMO, inferior to the snap n' go... so I'm sorry, but unless I hear from someone saying it damaged their seat, I'm not going to say that when it clearly fits and snaps on, it is a bad combo.

I'm voting 'marketing ploy'... and they know SOME kid is going to fall off SOME day and sue the tar out of them, so they are covering their butts in the slim hopes it might not happen.

My personal vote is "CYA" and marketing ploy. I've used my Safe Seat on the Snap 'N Go a few times with no signs of damage to either.
