View Full Version : Um... really dumb Roundabout question

When I took off my RA cover to clean it, I noticed that the shoulder straps were behind the latch strap (pix 1&2). That doesn't seem right to me, but since I haven't taken the cover off before and this is the way I received it, maybe it _is_ correct that way. It seems to me that the shoulder straps should be in front of the latch strap (pic 3). Or maybe it doesn't matter? We're not using latch obviously, but forward facing w/ a shoulder belt, in case that matters.

Any help would be greatly appreciated! It's kind of scary to think that I might be driving around all this time w/ it "installed" wrong. Thanks!

my guess is that somehow that happened during taking the cover off... as you would have had to unthread and rethread the harnesses...

but I agree, it should be like pic # 3... that's how it would be on any convertible seat I've seen.

I don't even know how you would get it fastened, otherwise.

OT... where is the piece of eps foam for the right (where the manual is) side of the seat?

Thanks! No it definately didn't happen when I took the cover off because I was very deliberate about it so I would remember how to put everything back on since it's been awhile. The straps would sometimes get "stuck" when I would try to tighten them and I wonder if that's why. I'll have to see if maybe DH took the cover off and just didn't tell me about it.

Oh, and I took the foam out so I could clean in that space (both sides actually). They just came right out - I hope that's not a problem!

no, just making sure it wasn't MIA or that you threw it out (some do not knowing)

I bet that is why you had problems with the harness.

I have a RA and it should be like pic. #3. Mine is in dh's truck, which he has at work, or else I'd take a pic. of it for you..
