Graco Cargo's seat belt guides

I am interested in the Platinum Cargo as a spare seat. I've heard it is comfortable, EPS foam, and has a FF recline, which I want. I don't plan to use it as a booster. I've also heard the guides bother some kids sleeping.

I just don't like the look of the booster guides! I thought they were sewn on and I could just cut the stitching! LOL Then I looked at one closely at Target and see that it is some kind of "clip together through the fabric" type of fastener.

Can someone who has this seat look at it and see if the guides can be removed?

Hehehe, not a lot of seat-modifying going on on this board ;). I know they rip off easily sometimes with normal use, so it can't be too hard to take them off on purpose, if you don't fear the hand of Graco striking you down for doing so.

Just in case anyone else is interested, I did it! They popped off very easily and so far, no striking down has occurred!
