Our babies each have a toy like this with them in the car seat: http://images.amazon.com/images/P/B0009OLTXO.01.LZZZZZZZ.jpg
Its essentially soft (some soft plastic teething parts) and is connected to the car seat strap by the top ring. It isn't heavy enough to pull on the strap in any way. I was just curious as to the party line on toys like this.

Well, I generally only let DD have soft toys in the car (like stuffed animals). I'm not fond of things that attach to the car seat straps b/c I don't want anything interfering with them in the event of a crash.

I'd be interested in what the techs have to say.

don't put it on the strap... if you have to attach it, get some links (linkadoos or sassy links) and make a chain and connect it to the latch anchor, the bars on a britax seat that hold the latch connectors, the holes that are used to connect the OHS on the 5-point Scenera.

you could even connect it to the latch connector/strap if you aren't using it to install the seat, or the top tether while baby is rf and you aren't using the tether.... but not the strap.
