I'm now thinking about this one to replace the RA so he'll be harnessed longer. We have LATCH and side curtain air bags, but DH has a sporty (sloped seats) car that can be difficult to fit a seat in. The 80 lb limit is interesting though, since it's so much smaller than the Regent. Maybe he could even fit RF in this again (the Boulevard and Wizard we have are too big to RF in DH's car, but DS is only 28 lbs, 21 months, too long torsoed to RF in the RA)

The Radian 80 is the exact same shell as the Radian 65. That means the top slots are not any higher. They are a smidge higher than the Marathon, but a couple inches shorter than the Regent. You might get a bit more time than a Marathon, but you are unlikely to even get over 65 lbs in the Radian 80 before it is outgrown by height. Of course, YMMV for an individual child, but it doesn't offer much advantage over a Radian 65 or MA/DC/BV.

Here is a recent thread:

Thanks :) I'm actually probably going to need extra height (he's average height and weight but with a really long torso) more than weight, so this one wouldn't have any advantage then.

Yeah, my dd was about 40 pounds last year when she got a bit tall for the Marathon (about 45 inches tall), and she's still only 47 pounds (and 48 inches) and still just barely fts in the Radian. She'll be 7 next month.
