This is going to be hard to explain. After a long trip, I washed my DD's MA cover and took out the harness and wiped it down with a washcloth and a mild solution of baby detergent and water. After everything was dry, ( I did not put the harness in the dryer), I put everything back together, but now the velcro on the lap part of the straps is interfering with the buckle tongues on the crotch part. They are so close to the tongues that I cannot get a tight fit if that makes sense. I keep wondering if the straps stretched or what. Does anyone have any idea or has experienced this?

My guess would be that you didn't get the harness all the way in. It needs to go down and under the seat, through two sets of holes. Here is a link to the RA harness path pictures, the MA is similar:

Thank you so much, obviously while taking it apart I did not pay attention. I was so ready to order new straps thinking I stretched them or something. I kept telling my husband that it did not fit her the way it used to. Thanks, I knew I would find the answer here.
