Has anyone seen or had experience with the new Fisher Price infant seat. I saw it today at BRU and I LOVE it. It's attractive, it's got great padding and it seemed really nice all around.

It was a different color (black and red... really pretty)

I know it's designed after the Britax Companion, but I've always loathed the way that seat looks (like the inside of a coffin if you ask me!)... so is this one anywhere near as safe? I really do like it.

The only downfall, it comes as a travel system and I don't care for the stroller.

So any opinions?

Same seat, same drawbacks, IMO. The handle must be put down when you're driving, it's bulky to haul around... Here's my dd in it and some other seats that we like a lot better... I took one picture of her in it without that shroud...er..headrest and you can see there's not a heap of growing room in there http://picasaweb.google.com/joolstag/LeahInCarseats

I agree, nifty cover :D

Thanks Julie, you always have the best info!

That's a shame that it's so small (I did notice that it seemed to be) even though it says the height limit is 30 inches? Makes no sense!

I suppose the Lotus SR is just as pretty if she decides to go with those colors (replacing an old Snugride)

I love how much room Leah seems to have in the Keyfit... is that still the seat you'd recommend overall?

Thanks again,

Yeah, I'm still loving the Key Fit, for sure. I'm seriously considering a SafeSeat1 to get us through winter, since it's so easy to keep her bundled up when we run short errands...so keep posted in case I do :D
