My sister is pregnant with baby #3 and is having car seat trouble. She has a 2007 Trailblazer and her 3 car seats do not fit properly in the car, because they are all too wide to buckle properly. She needs a booster, a convertible seat and an infant seat to fit side by side in the row. Does anyone know of slimmer car seats that would fit her needs?

Thanks for any help.

How old are the kids? How much do they weigh? How tall? These answers will make it easier for people to help you.

The kids are:
4 years old, 35 lbs.
18 months, 29 lbs.
the infant isn't born yet, due in September

I don't know their heights. The 4 year old is currently in a high back booster, the 18 month old is in a forward facing convertible seat.

Thanks again for any help.

The cheapest solution would be two Graco Cargos with front adjuster, used harnessed for the older two. They would probably fit with whatever infant seat she has. Two Radians would be the next price level, but can be tricky to install. A booster may actually be harder to buckle. If she wants to stick with a booster for the oldest, the Britax Parkway is easy to buckle next to other seats because it doesn't have arms.
