I'm researching next car purchase, and of course it has to fit our carseats now and in the future. I plan to keep DS harnessed once he's out of our BV/Uptown, and I would like the car to work with an even bigger seat like the Regent or Radian. Does anyone have either of these seats in a CRV? We'll likely get the 2007 model 2nd hand, but if these seats work in earlier models, I can use that information too. I'll take our current seats with us when we go car shopping, but I won't have a Regent or a Radian to check with.
Thanks.
Nicci

Probably :).

I think the Marathon et al. sometimes don't fit in the middle of the 2002-2006 body style very well, but otherwise almost everything seems to work in that car just fine (I had a Regent and Marathon in a 99, *easily*...I love that car...)

Thanks Jools. I like everything I've seen about the newer model - latch in center, great safety etc. But I need to know how it will work with DS's seats. That will be a deal breaker for me.

LATCH in center?!?!?! Whoa, cool beans. I'd promise to borrow my neighbors CR-V, but every time I make that promise I never get around to it, so I'll just say, Yeah, it really oughta fit :D

Since the subject is sort of the same, can I ask a question about these two seats?

Is one a better choice than the other (Regent/Radian)? I have tried my daughter in the Regent, but I can't find a Radian to try. She's 2.75 years old, at least 40" tall and 33lbs. or so if that helps.

Just curious...or is there something even better. I most definitely want her harnessed as long as possible. Oh and I have a Ford Windstart minivan...will both fit in second row captain's chairs?

Thanks,
Christina

Since she's kind of a big girl, you'd probably be happiest longest with the Regent... it also installs easier, is easier to use in general... it's just a slightly nicer seat overall (though I don't dislike the Radian, but if you don't need it for rearfacing, there's not quite as much point to buy it).

According to specifications, haven't test-driven it yet, latch in all 3 seating positions and each seat moves independently, so you could have a child latched in the center and move that seat closer to the front seats. But again, haven't been in one to try it out. One review said that it was designed for women with 1-2 young children. I hope it is carseat friendly.
