It's been over a year since I've looked at car seats for DD. At that time, the rec was for the Cosco Scenera or Regal Ride for a nice cheap seat. I am now wanting a seat for DH's car. We don't use it often, but there have been some times when a second seat would be really helpful (like when my van is in the shop or I want DH to pick DD up after work).

Would you still recommend the same or is there something new and better?

Thanks,

Yup, Scenera.(I've been very pleased with ours. Not bad for $35) FPSVD is great for the money.
How about the Uptown? (Although I've heard it's not always as easy to install)

I've been happy with the Scenera. We're using it for DD's back up seat. DS is too big for the Scenera so we're using the Graco Platinum Cargo for him.

Thanks everyone - will go with the Scenera. Looked at one today and like it better than the model my parents have - five slots for the harness instead of only three. $35 at K-Mart and I have a coupon for $10 off!
