Use the base of infant carrier on airplane?

I have a Graco Snugride. Do I use the base on the plane or attach to the seatbelt w/o it? Any other suggestions for using this seat on a plane??

No need for the base on the plane. It's super easy to install without the base, just route the seatbelt through the slots on the carrier and tighten. I never even took the base with me when DS was in his snugride, but if you want to, you can just pack it in your checked luggage, don't need to mess with carrying it on.
