DD #1 is in a Regent in my car and I'm thinking of buying her a booster for her dad's car. She's 5.5 years old, 37 lbs, and 42". I believe that she's mature enough to sit corectly in the booster, but she does ocassionally still fall asleep during a long car ride. Is it okay to lock the seatbelt during those times to keep her in the correct position or is that not a safe thing to do?

Thanks,

Yup, it's safe, and it's a great napping solution. And as they get older it makes a terrific threat! (Stop hitting your sister or I'll lock your seatbelt! lol)

Yes, we try to do so always. Ds was in the habit of automatically doing it for a while, then got out of it so I remind him.
