dd is now 2 and still RF. when she was younger, I just carried her if the ground was wet/dirty etc. but now, she wants to walk and her shoes are dirty.

I've been taking her crocs off partly b/c of the mud problem (also b/c she chews on them eww) but w/winter coming, that wont be practical. should I get a seat cover (for the car's seat not the carseat) or just throw a sheet over the seat?

I got one of those mats for the carseat to sit on. I do not use the mat that goes beneath the carseat. I use the one that goes on the seatback so DS's shoes don't ruin the seatback. You could use an old towel or something makeshift. I chose not to because DS would just rip it down or push it aside. What I got looks like it was made to fit the seat so DS doesn't touch it .
