Trouble getting Combi 6600

I'm having trouble finding the Combi 6600 in my area - Babies R Us is the only one who carries the brand, but they don't have the Convenience line in stock anymore.
I talked to someone answering phones for Combi; she said they have a new model coming out (the 6610 or 6601 - can't remember) and most stores don't have it. (I could purchase it from them directly for about $25 more though.)
Has anyone heard if/when Babies R Us or another large store will be carrying the new stroller? (They don't have a clue, and the baby's due in March.)

Babycenter.com has the Combi 6600 for $99.99, and babystyle.com has the Combi 6600 for $79.99.

Do you have a Burlington Coat Factory near you? I think that I saw some in their Baby Depot section, but don't quote me!

I was trying to decide whether the extra features (canopy and carseat cover, guardrail that doubles as a tray w/ cupholder)were worth the extra $20.00 babystyle.com is charging for the 6110 vs. the 6100. I do like the choice of fabrics estyle offers on this newer model, but I'm unsure if the price difference is worth it or not (I'm a first time mom and don't know if the extras are needed or not).

Babystle is offering $10 off for first time customers, but not on sale items. The 6100 is on sale and the 6110 is not. The 6110 would then cost $99-$10 coupon. The 6100 will be $79.00 with no coupon. Now there's only a $10.00 difference.

Any thoughts??

The main reason why I will be paying the extra money for the 6610 is the stand-up feature. This where the stroller, when folded, will stand by itself. That way your stroller is never lying on a wet parking lot before you can get it into the trunk. Hope this helps!

babystyle.com has the Combi 6600 on sale right now for $59.99. Combine this with $10 off for new customers and you get your stroller at significant savings. Even with the $15 shipping, it's still almost $40 less than you'll pay in the store once you add tax.

Babystyle has another coupon which is $20.00 off any non sale item. The code is "MSTWENTY". I hope this means you can get the fabric choice you like since you'll be looking at for the next few years.

Thanks! That's actually what I just did yesterday. I used the BIGTWENTY 20% off code and got the stroller for less than $64.00 including shipping. I was thrilled with the price!

Just an update - Babies R Us has the new line in stock now (the 6610 I think). We registered for it; we'll see what happens!

LAST EDITED ON Jan-29-01 AT 04:50PM (Mountain)[p]I just tested out both the 6600 and the 6610 in a store over the weekend, and BOTH have the self-standing feature. I wound up ordering the 6600 from estyle.com for $49.99 (before CA tax and shipping). It was $59.99-$10.00 for first time customers. The total with CA tax and shipping was $68.89.

As others have mentioned, estyle is also selling the new 6610 for $99.99. To me, the 6600 was the preferable stroller, great price notwithstanding. The 6610 is 1 lb. heavier and has bigger wheels, and since we were looking for something sturdy yet light and portable, the slightly smaller wheels and 1 lb. less weight were a factor in our decision. Also, I am not a fan of the plastic tray on the 6610, as it makes the stroller look more like one of those travel systems that both the Fields and I are not a fan of.

I am not sure if you can use the $20 coupon that others mentioned on a sale item, but if so, you might even get the 6600 for less than I paid for it. FYI, the only pattern available in the 6600 is the navy dot.
