I previously posted a question as to whether or not the XL Bjorn would fit my hubby who has a belly and I spoke with Bjorn this morning and they said the only difference is the length of the straps - not the width of the waist one.

Does anyone know what type of baby carrier will best fit an overweight man? Thanks so very much for your help!!!

I am an overweight mom, and the BB XL fits me just fine. In fact, there really is no separate waist strap. IIRC, It is all one strap system, and you just adjust it at the sides if you need more room at the tummy to snap the front together.

Depends on how overweight Dad is. My hubby is 6'0" and about 230 lbs (I think? maybe a little more?) with a belly. The Baby Bjorn XL fits him just fine, although he has to adjust the straps all the way to the end.

You might want to consider the Baby Trekker which I find is better for bigger baby and/or big built parents. http://www.babytrekker.com
