Peg Perego Strollers and Car Seat Question

Can you use a Graco Infant Car Seat with any of the Peg Perego strollers?

We were told the latest models of Peg Perego only accomodate Peg Perego car seats.

Is it true?

It's true that Peg strollers from 2001 and newer can only take the Primo Viaggio carseat, properly (by snapping it into the stroller). But many of us have just put our non-Peg carseats into our strollers by reclining the stroller seats totally and put the carseat in there, facing you. The carseat tends to be nice and snug in the stroller this way.

For extra safety, you can make a strap and tie/hook/attach to the stroller and over the carseat to keep the carseat in place. This can totally be done easily.

I have a Peg Perego Venezia and a Graco Snugride car seat and bought a Peg Perego adapter bar for $20 made for the Venezia - which allows the seat to snap into the stroller. I got the adapter bar at a store but they are also available online. I have yet to use this as my baby is due in a few days, but I've heard this works well.
