Is it possible to steer a Mac with one hand, even though it has 2 handles instead of one?

Thanks,
Marit

I can steer my maclaren techno with two fingers on one handle while carrying my son in my arms, a carseat in the stroller and a carry on bag over my shoulder LOL. Yes, maclarens are known for being easy to steer.

Yep, most definitely. Can do this with the Chicco 2002, also, and it has two/umbrella handles!

Absolutely. It is the best steering stroller. I also like my Chicco 2002, but I wouldn't say it steered as well as a Mac.

Yep. In fact, I did that today while talking to my husband on the cell phone when I was at the mall. :)

I also did it today while carrying a tray of food!

Which Mac do you guys have, Techno or Vogue? What's the difference?

Thanks,
Marit

I have a 2001 Vogue and I love it! The differences between the Techno and the Vogue are not that dramatic. I think the handles are a bit different and the fabrics on the Techno are sportier - I think the Vogue now comes with an infant head support and I'm not sure that the Techno does. On babyage.com right now, I saw a 2002 Vogue on clearance for $150 - good deal! Either way, you can't go wrong with a Mac. Good luck!

Neither. I have the Global. :)

The Techno also has that neat carrying handle on the side for when it's folded.

And I have a 2001 Maclaren Mistral, which is most similar to the Quest.

It is absolutely possible to steer a Mac one-handed, and they are SUCH great strollers: handsome, easy-to-fold, ergonomically designed.

I went to USA Baby last summer and test-drove the Combi Ultra Savvy (which is what I went in thinking I would get), the Peg Perego Pliko, and the Maclaren Global. I fell in love with the Maclaren in large part because of the easy of use.

Unfortunately, we've had a long, hard winter here in Maryland, so I haven't gotten quite as much use out of it as I would like, but when we were snowbound, we wheeled our daughter around the living room and kitchen! She loves it!

Is your baby comfortable in the Mac? I heard a lot of moms say their child doesn't like the seat. What do you think?

I just got the '03 Techno and 8mo DS loves it! He actually likes sitting in it better than his Planet!
If you can, try it out.
