2002 vs 2003 Zippy

Other than the rain cover, does anyone know the difference b/n the models? I was talked out of the Pliko and into the Zippy, and now I realize I was looking at a 2002. I want to know if I should hold out for a 2003, but I really like the built in raincover option. What should I do?

As far as I know, the rain cover is the only difference. Of course, the rain cover also adds weight, so I understand that the 2003 is a couple of pounds lighter.

I just bought a 2002 and I'm glad to have the rain shield. I know there is one place out there that offers you a free rain shield when you buy a 2003, but I haven't heard many good things about it. I think it's sort of saran-wrappy. Also, if you get out and don't expect rain, but it begins to rain, you've probably left the free rain shield at home.

It's totally personal preference as to whether to get the 2002 or 2003, but yes, the rain shield is the difference b/t the 2 models.

The rain shield is one of the main reasons I bought my Zippy in the first place. I think the newer ones come in different patterns, but that's the only difference.
