Opinions about bike trailers please! We have a 15 month old daughter and would like to do some local biking (road and trail). We are currently debating between the Burley and Chariot lines, but are open to suggestions if others are recommended. Also, should we go for a solo or double trailer? Although we have only one child now, should we spend a little more to accommodate a second child (hopefully!) in the future?
What features are important? What should we look for?

Thanks!

Michelle

I'm in the process of buying a Chariot and asked the same question yesterday. Scroll down a little to see KathyO's very helpful response to my single v. double question. And do a search of the archives for more info, too. It helped me a lot.

If you do a search for "chariot" or "bike trailer", there are quite a few discussions on the bike trailers.

Here are a few...

That should keep you going for a while ;) Ask specific questions if you have them and I'll try to answer. KathyO has one too so she can give her take on them too.

Nope, I don't actually have my hands on my Chariot yet! I did an obsessive amount of researching the first time around, and in the end decided on a bike seat, for reasons I won't bore y'all with at this time. But now that #2 is on the way, I have picked out my Chariot Cougar double, and visit it regularly at the store (drool drool)... just waiting for the autumn sale discount to come into effect! But I do know lots of folks who already have them, so I can talk about what they've told me.

Cheers,

KathyO

Blush, I now remember that you opted for the seat because the trails around you had issue with width or something like that. Sorry!

Congratulations on your pregnancy!!!
