Maclaren Quest

I have two simple questions regarding the Quest stroller:

1) On the Maclaren web page it says that the hood is removable. I tried to remove it in BRU but couldn't get the clips open. Is it really removable? Is there some "trick" to doing it?

2) Is the "Pebble" color grey or lilac? Can't really tell from the pictures on the web.

Yes, the hood is removable.
The Bebble is grey (I think), but I know for sure that the lilac one is called "iris".

Pebble is grey and the iris is a purple color. Depending on what lot you get it from it may be brighter and darker than it looks on some sites. I got mine in faded denim and it is darker than my SIL's faded denim one. I still LOVE it! :)
