I just saw a tot riding on the foot board of the Milano with the handle reversed at my office. It looked pretty safe.

Yes, I did it on my Roma. Not sure of the footsteps on the Milano or Venezia.

I did it all the time with my Milano. I even prefered it better since my DD would be able to face ds and kind of keep each other entertained. Also, with ds facing me, dd was able to ride and I did not have to remove the hood.
