I am off to buy a new single stroller today and I need help. I need a lightweight stroller for my 6 month old which can be pushed one-handed while carrying my 2 1/2 year old. I have a Pliko which I loved for one child but it's impossible to steer and push one handed. I am just looking for a stroller which I can use just to go in and out of preschool, across a parking lot, etc... By the way, I already have a double stroller for longer outings.
Any input would be greatly appreciated!

I don't know how much you want to spend but I'd recommend the Maclaren Quest. The steering is great + it's pretty lightweight.

I'd recommend something with one handlebar. I find those a lot easier to steer one-handed. How about a Zooper Waltz? That reclines nearly flat too. The Peg Perego Aria also has one handle-bar, but I'm not sure if your 6 mo old would be comfy with it's recline.

Ooh, if it were me, I'd look at the smaller Silver Cross strollers, the Mini and the Micro. You can push these one handed. You could check out the Maclarens too. We have an older Techno that is very easy to push one-handed. But for the price, you can't bear the Micro ($99) and the Mini (which I think is $149). And they come in that beautiful Ascot print!

I also wanted to vote for the Mac Techno. I've only recently gotten mine, but the steering is wonderful and I can push with just one hand. And it's fold is so compact I bet you could get it in the trunk with the double stroller you have.

Thanks for all your help. I decided that I really need a stroller with one handle. As much as I love the Macs, I think it's too similar to my Pliko. I also really don't want to spend more than $100. I went to Babiesrus yesterday and I think I have decided on the Combi Savvy Soho. Does anyone have this stroller and what do you think? I have read mixed reviews of Combis but I think for what I am going to use it for, it might work. What do you think?

Check out your stride in the Combi - I'm short (5'2") and my feet hit the wheels while walking pretty badly.

I cast another vote for the Mac Quest - I can easily steer my 7 mth old in it with one hand - it's awesome!!

UPDATE: I LOVE my new Combi Savvy Soho ($89 w/ Coupon at BRU). I have used this stroller for 3 days now and couldn't be happier. It was exactly what I was looking for in a stroller. The fabric is very nice and plush for the price. The basket is small but certainly serves its purpose. It has a good sized canopy with two pockets. It is very compact so I can see how if you are taller (I'm 5'3") and/or have larger kids it might not work. My kids are peanuts so both my 2 1/2 year old and 6 month old fit perfectly in the stroller. I can easily push my 2 1/2 year old in the stroller while carrying my baby and vice versa. It is incredibly lightweight, a dream to fold and fits anywhere in the car. It is so small that I feel good about going in somewhere with my stroller and not feel like I have to have everyone move out of our way. In my opinion, if you take it for what it is, a quick errand/travel stroller, you'll be totally satisfied.
Thanks again for all your advice, this board is great!
