and we've been going back and forth between the venezia and the swing. since family is offering to pay for whatever we choose, the venezia is pretty tempting. we know that we'll have to get a lightweight stroller soon after, and we're willing to buy ourselves a zippy or p3 when the time comes.

so... should we go ahead and request the venezia? argh.

Isn't the Venezia a pretty lightweight stroller already? I believe they are 17-18 lbs and you won't find lighter. The Zippy, while GREAT, is 16.5 lbs - so not much lighter!

Definitely!! Its a full featured stroller that is plush and comfy for baby from newborn and up. And, added benefit of reversable handle too! Its not much heavier than the P3 anyway. I love the carriage feature and the wheels all swivel. Aside from my Aprica it was my next choice!
