Need Help w/ Step 3 of the Zapp!

Step 3 for folding and unfolding the Zapp seems cumbersome. Any tips/tricks?

I keep hearing that it gets easier (looser), but I have yet to experience that! I read that one mama can open it with her foot. I'm amazed by this. I have to squat and pull with what I consider to be great effort to get step 3 into place. Closing isn't as bad, but I'm still squating in the parking lot (lovely, I'm sure).

That's the exact image i have - being in a parking lot and squatting to do this!!! I need to get a Mac Organizer (I think!) for the back...somewhere to put some type of drink!
