I have a jogging stroller but now that my child is out of his snap n go, I am ready to step it up into a "real" stroller. I use the jogger around the neighborhood on walks, so primarily would use this stroller shopping, running small errands, and - BIG - traveling. Would need it to collapse with one hand and be under 15 lbs. Not worried about the basket too much... I like the MAC Quest MOD and the COMBI Soho - but still very confused. I hear Zippy is good, too.... Suggestions are welcome!

I recommend the Quest. We have a 2003 Quest that we've used as an errand/travel stroller since my DS was 4 months old. It steers exceptionally well and is light yet sturdy. The Combi strollers feel flimsy to me + I don't love all of the plastic.

I have the Mac Mod Quest in rose pink and I absolutely love it! I also think the quality of Macs is much better than Combis. HTH!

I agree with the previous posters, go with the Mac...I first had a pliko and it was not a great match for us, so I opted to try a Mac techno and I absolutely love it. My ds in now 19 months and I don't feel the need for something lighter weight. Baby age now has the 2004 techno classic on sale for $149 plus 15% off and through ebates an additional 4% off. I think that's a really good deal for such an awsome stroller. Also, it has adjustable handles that go up to 44" which I love since I am 5'11".

Thank you!! MAC it is! Thanks for Baby Age price as well!! So - one more question, is there a definate benefit for the Techno vs. Quest??

Both are great strollers. The wheels on the Techno are larger so it handles better on uneven surfaces though I find that the Quest handles well too. There is a larger canopy, a sunshade and a slightly better basket. The Techno is definitely heavier. I prefer the Quest for an errand stroller.

Good stuff, good stuff - thank you! Now I am looking at the Ryder... but I love the MOD! $149 Techno Classic looks like it can't be beat.

I LOVE the looks of the Ryder and have been wanting to get one forever, but they're not in stores yet!! It bothers me to no end that some sites have them listed for sale and will actually let you put it in your shopping cart and purchase it....but they haven't been released by Maclaren yet! I don't mind the sites that have the pics up and say "not yet available" or "coming soon". The Ryder was suppposed to be released in 2004 but they keep pushing the date back. The last I heard was May '05. Hmmm...I guess it is May now. So what are the chances that it is out? Of course my new Triumph is on the truck for delivery TODAY......
