Really stupid travel question

Never had to travel on a plane yet with a stroller. Could someone fill me in on what you are supposed to do. I feel so silly for not knowing. Do you check it? Do you have to have a special bag for it? I am worried it will get broken some how.....does it usually make it through tthe trip in one piece :)

Walk all the way up to the plane with it and check it at the gate. You can put it in a stroller bag if you wish, but then it often gets sent to the carosel with the checked luggage.

At your destination, get off the plane and wait right there on the jetway. They will bring your stroller up to the door.
