I have a 2005 P3 and am a bit unhappy with the wheels, which have two problems. The main one is that when my 3 year old rides on the footboard with her 6 month old sister in the stroller, the front wheels lift up. My 3 year old is average size and my 6 month old is tiny. Do others have this problem? It seems like basic physics - heavy child on back without much counterbalance in front - but I have never heard anyone else say this was an issue.

Second, sometimes the front wheels kind of skitter around even with only my baby in the stroller. In particular, the front right wheel doesn't make complete contact with the ground, almost like a twig or something is stuck in it, but I'll inspect it and nothing appears to be caught. It's a bit irritating.

I'd call Peg. Sounds like your chassis is messed up.

I regularly push my 22ish lb 17 mo with my 3 yo nephew on the footboard without a problem.

I agree with the pp, call Peg Perego, it sounds like yours is defective.

I use the Zippy w/toddler step with my ds 9mo (today!~ wow they grow quick!) and my 2.5yo dd. I don't have that problem.
