View Full Version : Peg vs Zooper - which will fit needs?

The top requirements (in order of importance) for a stroller we would like to purchase as a gift for my dear niece:
1. ~$200
2. Height adjustable (DB is 6ft. with a long stride)
3. Compact
4. Napper Bar
5. Good Storage

Based upon a board search we narrowed it down to the Peg Aria, P3, and Zooper Waltz. The P3 is nice but before we go over budget we wanted to be sure there wasn't something else that would suit needs. Flaming posts on the Aria have made us leery of purchasing that as a gift even though it seems to meet all the other requirements. I've never seen the Waltz in person but it also sounds like it would work - is it good for tall people and a smallish car trunk?

I have the Waltz, and have liked it. Don't know how I ever missed the overwhelming recommendation of this board for a P3 (well, I do: I had seen it and had not liked the looks of it). It is very nice for a small baby, and the price can't be beat. You cannot adjust the handles though, and though my father (who is 6'1") has claimed that they are fine, I find them a bit too low (and I am only 5'4"; I occasionally kick the wheels). If the weight is not an issue, I highly recommend the Swing. It is plusher, it folds smaller (it's an umbrella fold, whereas the Waltz is a book fold) and it is more adjustable than the Waltz. The Swing is the successor of the universally liked Z-street.

Thanks LD! Based on your recc I did a search on the swing and this seems to fit our needs! Now to decide if it's best to get the swing or z-street (since liquidbaby has great prices on them now)...

I have a zSreet myself, and so I haven't actually tried the Swing, but we do love our zStreet. We get *a lot* of use out of it, and I know Zooper has excellent customer service. (I had to contact them about a wheel hub for our Walk Air and they were extremely helpful.)

The only thing I want to mention about the zStreets that Liquidbaby is selling on eBay is that they're the Cool Zone model, which means they don't have the boot and the rain cover. (The regular zStreet included those.) Of course, if you don't care about those, it really is a great price, and Liquidbaby is a great seller. I bought our Walk Air from him almost two years ago. :)

Good luck in deciding which to go with!
