My husband and I are going to start taking our young daughter (3 months old) to my parents house in the Poconos for long weekends. In order to get to the play and recreation areas (pools, swings, lake, bocci ball courts, etc.) in their development/community, we have to stroll down several unpaved roads. They are primarily dirt with some rock.

I am trying to find an inexpensive ($120 or less) all-terrain stroller for those times that we are up there (maybe 3 or so times a year, but I may also use the stroller for long walks at home). I currently have a Peg Perego P3 that we love, but I do not think that it will handle too well up there. I am looking for something that we can use for her now and for the next few years. We are hoping to have a second in about two years, which is why I do not want to spend too much on a second stroller now. I have tried to find a used jogging type stroller through the consignment / secondhand shops around here, but have not found any. I figure that I'll probably need a double all-terrain stroller in just a few years once we have our second.

I have seen both the Zoopair and the Zooper Sport that are at www.overstockbaby.com Would either of these be good choices for this type of walking? Does anyone have any feedback on either of these strollers or have any other suggestions?

Thank you for your input!
Suzanne

You should be able to find an Instep Safari TT for under $120 online. Its similar to an MBUS -- front swivel wheel, full recline -- for a LOT less money. I think it would be perfect for what you want. I just did a search on Bizmart to find these prices.

Also, the Schwinn is the same stroller with different fabric and a slightly higher price. I had the Instep version for about 6m before I got my '05 MBUS and we were VERY happy with it. In fact, DH preferred the Instep to the MBUS (but I hated the fold of the Instep, whereas the MBUS folds easily and is easy to get in/out of the car).

I have heard good things about the Jeep Liberty

[waving Hi to Jodi!]

The Jeep Liberty IS another option for you. You need to try it out first, though. My DH kicked the basket and found it more unstable side-to-side (its narrower than the Instep).
