I am ready to throw the Peg Perego seat cover and footmuff into the wash as I am unsure how I would get it clean enough by hand given that at 8 1/2 months pregnant, I would rather not lean over to do this in the tub.
I fear that doing this may ruin the fabric. Any thoughts?

Yes, I have washed mine several times in the washer with Tide or what ever I have at home but I line-dried them

I washed the cover of my P3 in the washing machine with Dreft (b/c it smells yummy) on the hand wash cycle and then I line dried it. It cleaned it right up!

I did not wash the canopy though...

Thanks Susann. Did machine washing affect the padding in the seat cover? Did you wash the hood by hand? Did it end up getting misshapen?

Okay I ended up machine washing the seat cover and footmuff on delicate with Woolite Dark. Hand washed the hood with Woolite Dark using a shoe brush and sponge. They all turned out beautifully! :)

I had an old Pliko a few years ago and washed the seat cover in the machine and it worked out fine. Nothing happened to it and it cleaned really well.

hi i have a zippy 06 and 04 and i washed on delicate both cushions and the boots with melalua brand laundrey detergent or all brand and i dried it on permanent press it looks brand new so it should be the same for the p3 seat because the zippy says to hand wash and hang dry and both seats of the 2 model washed well. i havent tried to wash the canapy because it dosen't look like i can detatch it.

Any tips for taking the cushion off for washing? Our P3 is looking a bit dirty and i think it would look great if cleaned properly.

Thanks

I had to unsnap a series of buttons on my seat unit (not a P3) and wiggle it off gently.
