I posted this earlier on SWAP, but I wanted to share it here too.
****************

My Powertwin just arrived today, and it only took me about five
minutes to get it set up and ready to roll! I've already tested it
briefly, and here are my thoughts so far.

For one thing, this is one SWEET ride. It's very sleek, maneuvers
beautifully, handles corners and bumps with ease, and is a real joy
to push. The push actually reminds me a lot of the Valco single I
used to have that I miss so much! It's hard to believe you're
pushing a double stroller because it's truly effortless. It's VERY
solid and not tippy at all.

The upholstery on the seats is sooooo plush, too. These are
definitely some of the most comfortable and well-padded stroller
seats I have ever seen. My two year old kept saying, "This seat
comfortable, Mommy!" the whole time she was riding. She never has
said that in any other stroller. She cried when she had to get out.
The baby also seemed quite happy and comfortable in his seat as
well. Overall, I feel great about my kids riding in the Jane because
I know they have nice, cushy chairs.

The fabric is also lovely (I got the silver). It's soft, but also
kind of nylon-y so that it seems that moisture would just kind of
bead up and roll off. I definitely like that! Again, it really is
some of the nicest upholstery I have ever seen on a stroller.

My main concern was the size of the seats, as I'd heard they were
rather small. While they're not huge by any stretch, they are also
nowhere near as small as I had feared. My two year old is 38 inches
tall (in the 99th percentile for her age) and was huge in the Zooper
I tried. But she really does fit fine in the Jane. I did have to
turn the head support thingy toward the back (that may not make
sense unless you've actually seen the Jane in person), but that's no
big deal. She doesn't have a ton of clearance in the canopy when
attached either, but that's not a deal-breaker for me since my
toddler hates having a canopy attached anyway (it obstructs her
view), so I just slather her in sunscreen and put a good hat on her
instead.

I will say that the canopy attachment mechanism is no the greatest.
They come undone easily and just seem kind of insecure. Also, the
basket is small and not so easy to access. But again, these aren't
deal-breakers for me. Any basket at all still puts me ahead of the
E3 in doubles mode.

It's heavy, but no heavier than many doubles. It does have a locking
mechanism to secure it closed, and you can pick it up easily with
the handlebar when folded. So, even though it's heavy, it's fairly
easy to lift because of those two things. I will have no problem
getting it in and out of my minivan. Folding and unfolding is also
VERY easy. Five seconds or less for each motion. And I say this
after only having had this stroller for a couple of hours. It was
that easy to learn!

Overall, I'm thrilled with the Powertwin and plan to keep it and use
it for as long as my toddler can comfortably fit in the front seat.
I definitely like it better than the E3. The baby is much more
comfortable and will be able to nap SO much better in the Jane. And
my toddler also seems to like it a LOT better (as I said, she kept
remarking how comfortable she was in this stroller and wanted to
ride in it again when we finished playing around).

I'll take some photos later. I already promised to post some comparison pics of the Powertwin vs. E3 on a different thread. It won't be until later today, though, at the earliest.

So yeah, my initial thoughts about the Powertwin? WOW!

Oh cool! Sounds like a winner, for sure. Now, they need to get around to selling a single, lol.

Darn! I waited and waited for the PT, but my baby came...and Jane kept pushing the release date back. So I caved and bought the E3, hoping the PT wouldn't be that great anyway! :)

I do love my E3, and my toddler will sleep in it (but he doesn't look really comfortable). His head falls to the side and there's not much padding. I will sometimes put a blankie there, but he doesn't sleep very long or soundly. My infant slept great in newborn mode, but he's now 4 months old and likes to see everything. He's in that weird between mode stage when the E3 is sorta challenging.

I'm probably going to end up buying a Mac TT to supplement my E3.

Awesome! Thanks Ohio Mom! DH and I are definetely going to order a Powertwin over the E3. Your review is pretty much consistant with everything that we've researched. Can't wait to see pictures!
