Gate check Mac Quest: Stroller Bag or No?

I will be traveling with DD for the first time next month an plan on gate checking our Mac Quest. Is it better to put it in a Mac Stroller bag or not? What is best for ensuring my stroller makes it in one piece?

I never checked my Quest in a bag. What's the point of a lightweight stroller if you lug around a travelbag - they tend to weigh quite a bit and are not that compact. If the Quest is a lightcolored one, I would consider a heavyduty plasticbag.

Anyway, I would advise to take off everything that comes off and putting them in your suitcase. I mean the canopy and possible cupholders etc.
