View Full Version : How to remove glass from a Volo?

We live in St. Louis and during last week's storms a tree fall on our minivan and completely knocked out the rear window, knocking glass onto our almost brand new Volo. We dried it out (rain had come in the window) and shook it out - there was no visible glass. I haven't been able to vacuum it because we have no power. However, when I went to fold up the stroller I got glass slivers in my hand. Obviously, there is no way I'm putting my baby in that stroller! Has anyone dealt with a similar situation? Were you able to make the stroller safe or did you just replace it? As I mentioned, I haven't yet vacuumed but I am concerned because I can't see the glass that is currently in/on the stroller. Given that the Volo has mesh, there are a lot of places for glass slivers to hide.

Thanks,
Sarah

Mac sells replacement mesh (at least it snaps off...maybe it can be washed?)... I might try vacuuming it all off with a gas station/car wash vac.

I have no experience with removing glass from a stroller, but I would probably just replace the mesh to be safe. Glass slivers would make me nervous every time I used it. :( So sorry, mama! Maybe you could contact Maclaren and see what they suggest? I have no personal experience with their customer service but if you explained the situation I wouldn't be surprised if they offered to replace the mesh for you, due to the circumstances. GL!
