[edited to clarify earlier message]

A mom near me is selling a Baby Trend Sit N Stand (and maybe also a Graco Duo Glider) for only $25 each.

Now, I will be looking for a double stroller for my 29-month-old and newborn, but I have several months before the newborn even arrives!
Ordinarily, I would have planned to save for a better quality (but not too pricey) double, like a Combi Counterpart Tandem or Combi Twin Savvy. Budget is a consideration, but SPACE even more so--I can only fit one double stroller in the house, no question.

So here's my question. I have read such negative posts about both the Duo Glider and Sit N Stand that I don't know if one of those is worth getting even at the low price. I'm pretty weak and don't want something I can't lift in and out of the trunk. My DD is quite small and really likes our current stroller (P3) but won't be big or coordinated enough to ride on the P3's step right away, and she especially likes to ride in it to snack.

I would like to know if you all think it's a good idea to snatch up either of these, and if so, which one? I don't want to get something I'd never use, but I also don't want to pass up a deal and regret it later. I'm looking forward to getting another opinion!

Thanks! Amaryl

Do you have a consignment/used baby gear store anywhere around? You could choose one and try it out and either keep it or trade it in for at least that price. If the one you picks works, then cool. If not, you won't be out anything.

I'm a real sucker when it comes to 'new' strollers though, so take my advice with a grain of salt, lol.

Get the sit n stand- I have been doing stroller watching on ebay and you can probably use it for a few months and still sell it on ebay for at least $60 (even the damaged ones got that much) The swan version had been bringing in at least $100 if not more.
You can't go wrong, if you don't mind selling on ebay.

Thanks so much, Nicole. That's just the advice I needed to hear!

I got the Sit n Stand, like you advised. I hope it's useful--even if not, I'm glad to know I'll be able to recoup the investment, and then some!

I appreciate your passing along the tip!
