I want a nice, sturdy, comfy double for my 3 year old and newborn that is due in Jan. Doesn't need to be car seat compatible, but does need full recline for newborn. I am open to sepnding up to $600 but would like to keep it under $400 if possible. As lightweight as possible, but that isn't a major concern. I just really want it to last. My 3 yr old weighs 30 pounds so I think he will be riding at least another year. I plan on getting a lighter weight single for the baby later on. TIA.

A Maclaren might suit your needs!

What about the Phil & Ted e3 double? When you no longer need it as a double you can remove the back seat and have a single! No need to buy another stroller. I think it's the lightest of the doubles out there. Except for of course umbrella styles.

In double mode with newborn. In this configuration, the front seat folds down for the newborn and the older child uses the back seat now attached to the top of the stroller. It's a weird view, but my friend is using hers this way with her infant and 3 year old and it's great!

I'm loving my Zooper Tango! I use it with my 22 month DD who is 25lbs and 7 week DS who is about 12lbs. Both sides recline flat, it turns great, is relatively lightweight for a double. It is big when folded though since it has a book fold, but there is plenty of room in the back of my van. If you have a sedan you wouldn't want this stroller but for bigger vehicles I think it's great!

The 2007 Tango will take a car seat and have individual hoods I believe!

Grrrr...figures I just got mine last month :(
Everytime I make a big money baby purchase they come out with a newer improved model. Oh well, I still love my Tango!

I will not need to make the stroller purchase til after she is born. Not planning on doing any mall crawling or anything except slinging her and pushing DS in his single for a couple of weeks in Target or the grocery store. I think the mall will be a few weeks later so I will have the chance to look around from now til prob mid February. She is due January 10. My first was a week early. Any others I should look at?? How about Combi?? Or maybe a tandem from Peg?
