My friend has a DS who is almost 5 years old. She and her family go out often at night for walks in the neighborhood or to different people's houses for meals. He often will fall asleep in the stroller and his current stroller is to small for him, his legs hang down onto the ground. Currently she has a Mac Techno and a Maclaren Twin- the twin is about 3 years old, i am not sure of the model.

Any reccomendations on a good stroller? She is open to an A/T or jogging stroller as long as it has a swivel front wheel. She would also prefer if the stroller is under $300 but if it is around that price it is negotiable.

She also has a 3 year old, and will hopefully have more children so the stroller should preferably be a quality brand.

Thanks!

The Schiwnn Safari runs about $150. There are a few different versions, such as the Instep one all made by the same company. It is an A/T stroller with the swivel front wheel. For the price, it is a good stroller but not as nice as some of the more spendy ones such as the Valco's, Zoopers, BOBs and such.

My 5yo fits in the Baby Jogger City Series and the Easy Walker Classic that we have. The seat back on the BOB Revolution is also quite tall and that's a good one for walks. Oh, and the Phil and Teds E3 has a really tall seat back, though there's not a ton of leg room for a 5yo. Those are the AT strollers that I can think of right now, though I'm sure I'm forgetting something. They are all around $300, though some need discount codes to get down to $300.

As far as regular strollers with tall seat backs, the Pliko Lite and the Inglesina Urbe are the first two that come to mind. The new Valco Buggster has a tall seat back as well. I'm sure I'm forgetting some, it's late, but that should get you/her started.

Good luck!

An older P & T Kiwi Explorer, Baby Jogger City series, DD Manhatten (sp?- I am sleepier than I thought, lol), BOB Revolution... Those are the ones that hop into my head. My kids are super tall and the Kiwi Explorer has served us well in similar situations. I have tried out the Bob and the BJ City series and been quite pleased also.

I've seen the Bumbleride Flyer in person at USA Baby and it has a very large seat which also reclines completely flat. When I saw it, I thought how roomy and bed-like it would be for a toddler. It does have a fairly big fold, however.

Thanks for all the suggestions!

I have passed them on to my friend and she was very happy to have the suggestions, she is going stroller shopping tomorrow.

Of course I am still spreadin the love!!! :-) DS calls it the Spiderman stroller (since it is blue with a red seat liner) and it still fits him even though he is HUGE!!!! :-)

Good to see you too!!! I was thinking of you the other day, I want to send a pic of the kids from Halloween. :-) Dial up is too slow so I need to find time from work. After I live through conferences though about a week. ;-) :-)

Good to know he still fits- because I am keeping mine for..ev..or!!!! Did I tell you I have two, now- LOL!! One will be sold when I get back home- or sold to my cousin if she ever has another baby.

I love "Spiderman Stroller!!" I made two liners in a cool dot print for a swapper, and then ended up buying the stroller and the liners from her- I'll email you pics. It looks cool- but I may try to sell the liners again :-)

Can't wait to see pics. I'll send you my latest from my European Adventure!!
