View Full Version : How does the Valco twin fold? and where to buy in NY?

I think we've decided on the Valco. I would love to know more about how it folds though. On the Valco site they only have a pic of the single stroller folded and even then it's not a demo, just a pic from one angle and I can't really tell what it's like IRL. Is there anyone who might possibly take a pic of the folding stages??? The older Valcos will do, I don't think they've changed the fold. It would really help me out as I need to buy mine sight unseen. My parents are in NY. Any idea on where a good place to buy the new trimode twin would be? (in NYC or LI) or what a good website is to order it off of. Obviously I'm looking for a good price and reliable service.
Thanks so much

P.S. I was able to see the BJCSD IRL and although I really liked it the fold was a nightmare (in terms of folded size, the fold itself was easy) this is one of the things that steered me towards the valco. Do you agree that the Valco folds better??

Try Schneider's, Albee Baby or Little Folks in Manhattan:

I would call before hand to see if they have floor models on display.
You could also try Buy Buy Baby (also Manhattan or Long Island) and see if they have them (I know I've seen Valcos in their Manhattan location).

As a last resort, I would consider the many baby stores in Brooklyn (although most don't seem to have websites, but I'm certain they carry many doubles). You would have to do a search though. Good Luck.
