We are in the market for a new umbrella stroller for our 7 month old. I have been reading reviews and looking for good deals for about 3 weeks now and we're debating between the Chicco C5 or the Inglesina Swift. I read a few poor reviews about the C5's seat support, something about getting a crease in the seat back that pokes the child. I looked at Maclarens but the seat just didn't seem deep enough for our daughter. I wish I could find the Chicco Tuscany somewhere because I've read great things about it. I can't even find one on Ebay! We are going to be on vacation in early December so we need to get the stoller asap! Are there any other strollers that I should be thinking about? The things that are important to us are:

Keeping the cost at around $100
Tall handles
Basket
Seat recline
Canopy
Easy enough fold

Thanks so much!
Julie

For a 7month old I might also consider the Inglesina Trip. IIRC, it has more of a recline than the Swift. I think I had a Swift for DD at ~ 10m. She was fine with the recline at that time, but I don't think it would have been enough at 7m.

Mac Quest might work. Not sure if you can find one for $100 -- maybe try ebay or Swap.

I just bought the mac quest from BRU it is on clearance and they are also currently offering a 15% off any one item in the mail, so it came to around $160

Does the Trip have an umbrella fold? Would it be easy to travel with? What I didn't like about the Mac was that the seat didn't seem deep enough. Does anyone know if the Swift or the Trip have deep seats?

I am pretty sure the Inglesina's have deeper seats. I was debating b/n the Trip and the Quest, and went for the Trip and am very happy with it. It does have an umbrella fold. It's not tippy like the Quest. I was able to hang my heavy corduroy A7 off the back with no problems. I got a great deal on a 2006 from kiwi-kid.com It was $129 shipped.

PS I just checked kiwi-kid and they only have 1 Trip left,in case you're interested. I think they have several Swift's left

I would look at the Zoopers-the Twist might work.

Kidco has the tallest handles. This would work for you. You can find older models on Ebay for even cheaper:
