Oh, LORD! Why do I read these boards?! If they had red and I knew for SURE it was the 2007 model, I'd have pulled the trigger already, because SA is also on Ebates for an extra 3%. BUT, they have only black or navy, and I can't tell which year model it is.

This may require a conversation with DH tonight, who would really prefer NOT to know how much I spend on children's items...

Ok - I've looked all over and it looks like some strollers were made with the 2007 modifications, but in the old colors (Navy, black, etc.) And remind me, besides the "floating" canopies, what are the great new features of the 2007 again?

Well, I have gone through this whole thing too, trying to decide whether or not to wait for a 2007 (especially since you can get such a great deal on the 2006s).
I've been on the phone with Baby Jogger & a couple of retailers. My understanding is that:
SOME, not ALL of the 2006 BJCS were made with the new canopies. BUT, the actual 2007s will ALSO have the one handed recline mechanism & I think some kind of padding on the restraint straps.
At first I was just going to get a 2006 & save some $$, but I really like the idea of the one-handed recline. Especially with a newborn.

Mine (navy) arrived today. Manufacture date was Jan. 2006. It took only 10 minutes to assemble and so far we've gone for a stroll around the sofa and coffee table. It'll easily fit through the front door of my home. I think the fold is even small enough for my Honda Civic trunk (although we'll primarily use the van for family outings).

glad it worked out for you. We actually ended up deciding to wait since we are pretty sure we want the bjcsd, but still looking at other options (although #2 is due in 2 weeks so I had better hurry up and make up my mind!). glad you could take advantage of it though!!!
