can I get the new p&t doubles seat w/the old E3?

since the E3 model is on sale everywhere and the main thing i like about the new SP is that the doubles seat can recline a bit, can i buy the new doubles seat and fit it on the E3?

It looks like you probably can but the response I got from Regal Lager....

"Although the two buggies are identical, our response right now to this
question is: no, they are not compatible. The reason for this is that
the second seat has not been tested on the e3. It all has to do with
liability. However, this all might change in the future. Sorry that I
can't give a more definite answer.
