Stroller envy.... how to control the urge

My friend and neighbor just had a baby boy last Tuesday night. They did not want to buy anything before he was born so on Thursday the DH went to the specialty baby store and got everything that they had picked out. They got a Mountain Buggy urban with bassinet. I am so happy that they got a good stroller for their use, which will be a lot of city walking, and a bassinet for the baby to use, but i am jealous. I do not know why, the Mountain Buggy would not have been a great stroller for avi. The streets we walk on are mostly paved and the P3 is great, but i just want a new stroller.

Am I alone in feeling this way?

Where is the "gigantic grin on face" icon? I had it the entire time DD was riding. I was a big green monster. I had two great strollers that fit her needs, but I wanted what everyone else had too. At least this is the right board for sharing our addiction!

I am certain I'll be the same way w/ this kiddo.

By the way, which MBuggy w/ bassinete did they get? Did you check out the bassinete? I ask b/c I am contemplating this set up and can't seem to find one IRL around here! Grr.

I am not sure which MBuggy they got, i did not want to seem like too much of a dork looking at the stroller and not admiring the new baby, iykwim? The bassinete looked nice, but again i did not look too closely at it. I want to wait until i have had more of a chance to see the baby before i make her too crazy with her baby products.

I live in Los Angeles, i could ask her where she bought the stroller, if you want to go to the store and check it out, let me know.

Ahh, all too well! :) I've been there many times, craning my neck to try and see what brand the cool stroller is. I'm sure people think I'm nuts!
